Worley postpones resignation as commandant of the Iowa Veterans Home
Gov. Terry E. Branstad today granted a request from David Worley, commandant of the Iowa Veterans Home, to indefinitely postpone his resignation while Worley seeks additional medical advice and explores treatment options that might allow him to remain in his position as Commandant of the Iowa Veterans Home.
His original resignation date was April 28. The governor’s action today extends this date indefinitely.
The governor has tremendous respect for David Worley and the work he is doing at the Iowa Veterans Home, and desires to give him every opportunity to continue to serve as long as his health will not be jeopardized.
