Iowa public schools rank among nation's top 10

Iowa was named the state with the ninth best public schools in America in a new WalletHub.com study. The website also found that Iowa has the lowest dropout rate in the nation.

 

WalletHub.com analysts compared all 50 states and the District of Columbia across 21 key measures of quality and safety.

 

Some of Iowa's scores are:

1st - dropout rate

1st - percent of licensed/certified public K-12 teachers

5th - median SAT score

14th - median ACT score 

13th - math test scores

(1 = best, 25 = average)
