Lennox International Inc. announced a commitment to donate $500,000 to tornado recovery efforts in Marshalltown, according to a press release.
Lennox facilities were destroyed in the July 19 tornado. The company announced plans to rebuild last week. Lennox was founded in Marshalltown and has been a part of the community for 123 years.
“Lennox was born here and this is our hometown,” said Doug Young, Lennox President and Chief Operating Officer in the release. “We have had multiple generations work for us in this factory. We are very proud to call Marshalltown home and we are committed to getting Marshalltown back on its feet as quickly as possible.”
