A “Future Ready Iowa” summit was held at Sukup Manufacturing in Sheffield on Tuesday. Hundreds of educators and employers from our area learned how they can team up to help fill their community’s employment needs.
Iowa Lieutenant Governor Adam Gregg also had a firsthand experience at welding. It is one of the jobs done at Sukup. He said initiatives like the “Future Ready Iowa” will help fill the employment gap many businesses throughout the state are experiencing.
