Open records information provided by the Office of the Governor in May 2013

- On average, responses were provided within 10 days

On April 24, 2013, Donnelle Eller, Des Moines Register, requested “(1) All correspondences, including emails, sent by Governor Branstad regarding Facebook, Siculus, Catapult, or the Altoona data center project from January 1, 2012 to April 24, 2013, and (2) All calendar notices or schedules regarding meetings Governor Branstad had with representatives from Facebook, Silucus, Inc., Catapult or the Altoona data center project from January 1, 2012 – April 24, 2013.” On May 2, 2013, our office provided four (4) pages in hard copy. There was no charge for this request.

On April 24, 2013, Andy Court, 60 Minutes/CBS News, requested the accompanying materials with the Board of Parole’s recommendation for commutation of Rasberry Williams and a copy of the DVD of Mr. Williams’ parole board hearing. On May 7, 2013, our office provided 129 pages in hard copy and a copy of the DVD. Documents were withheld pursuant to Iowa Code sections 22.7(5), 22.7(18), 904.602(2), and 904(2)(c). There was a charge of $11.90 for copies.

On May 6, 2013, Mike Wiser, Lee Enterprises, requested all correspondence sent to or from Linda Fandel and Adam Gregg with the terms “bullying” or “Weishuhn” including emails and text message from April 10, 2012 to May 6, 2013. On May 24, 2013, our office provided a CD containing 36 emails, ten pages in hard copy and one page with text messages. There was no charge for this request.

On May 10, 2013, Mike Wiser, Lee Enterprises, requested all correspondence between Jeff Boeyink and Jodi Tymeson or David Worley and David Roederer and Jodi Tymeson or David Worley between May 15, 2013 and May 10, 2013. On May 23, 2013, our office provided a CD with 50 emails and two pages in hard copy. There was no charge for this request.

On May 13, 2013, James Lynch, The Gazette, requested all applications and correspondence with applicants regarding the position of Auditor of State. On May 23, 2013, our office provided thirty-nine (39) pages in hard copy. There was a charge of $2.90 for copies.

On May 21, 2013, Mike Wiser, Lee Enterprises, requested to review the applications of the four applicants interviewed for the position of Director of the Department of Veterans Affairs appointed on May 20, 2013. On May 23, 2013, our office provided 18 pages in hard copy. There was a charge of $.80 (cents) for copies.
