On October 21, 2015, Brian Morelli, The Gazette, requested to review, “All correspondence sent to or from Gov. Branstad, Lt. Gov. Reynolds, Michael Bousselot and/or Matt Hinch with the term ‘Highway Helper’ from January 1, 2015 – October 21, 2015.” On November 4, 2015, our office provided a CD containing 5 emails and four pages in hard copy. Two emails were redacted pursuant to Iowa Code section 22.7(4). There was no charge for this request.

On November 5, 2015, Matthew Nosco, Nevada, Iowa, requested to review, “All correspondence between the Iowa Utilities Board and the Office of the Governor regarding the proposed Dakota Access crude oil pipeline and/or the relevant Iowa Utilities Board hearings and/or decision making process regarding the granting of eminent domain to Dakota Access, LLC and Energy Transfer Parnters from September 5, 2015 – November 5, 2015.” For emails, our office searched “Pipeline,” “Dakota Access,” and/or “Energy Transfer Partners.” On November 19, 2015, our office, in conjunction with the Iowa Utilities Board, provided a CD containing 61 emails. There was no charge for this request.
