NOVEMBER 7, 2016

 

 

The Executive Council met in regular session at 10:01 a.m. Room G09 of the Capitol Building with Governor Terry Branstad presiding. Auditor of State Mary Mosiman, State Treasurer Michael Fitzgerald and Secretary of Agriculture William Northey were present. Secretary of State Paul Pate was absent. *Secretary Pate called in, but due to unforeseen circumstances, was unable to participate.

Moved by Auditor Mosiman and seconded by Treasurer Fitzgerald that the Council approve the minutes of the Executive Council meeting held October 31, 2016.

Christie Templeton, Department of Human Services, was present to request an emergency allocation pursuant to Governor’s Disaster Proclamation in the amount of $325,000.00 and to transfer funds for disbursement to Disaster Case Management to help individuals or families establish a recovery plan, without Executive Council approval for each individual applicant in the counties listed below. The allocation breakdown for the funds to be transferred is as follows:

 

  • $25,000.00 for Disaster Case Management training

                                   

  • $300,000.00 for Allamakee, Benton, Black Hawk, Bremer, Buchanan, Butler, Cedar, Cerro Gordo, Chickasaw, Clayton, Delaware, Fayette, Floyd, Franklin, Hancock, Howard, Jones, Linn, Louisa, Mitchell, Muscatine, Story, Worth, Winneshiek and Wright counties

 

 

Moved by Secretary Northey and seconded by Auditor Mosiman that the Council approve the request.

Request from the Attorney General’s office on behalf of the Department of Revenue to transfer funds to the Litigation Expense Fund for the second quarter of FY 2017 in the amount of $40,000.00.
