  1. Emergency Allocations

  1. Iowa Communications Network is requesting an emergency allocation in the amount of $11,404.75. On February 23, 2018 a cable was damaged due to rodent chews along Highway 6 in Winneshiek County.  Request is to cover repair costs.

 

The State Auditor’s Office has reviewed this request and recommends allocation, subject to audit of actual invoices and supporting documentation and demonstration that no costs covered by the maintenance contract have been included.

 

  1. Iowa Communications Network is requesting an emergency allocation in the amount of $10,694.21. On April 11, 2018 due to a washout a cable was exposed NW of Creston in Union County.  Request is to cover repair costs.

 

The State Auditor’s Office has reviewed this request and recommends allocation, subject to audit of actual invoices and supporting documentation and demonstration that no costs covered by the maintenance contract have been included.

 

  1. Iowa Communications Network is requesting an emergency allocation in the amount of $11,008.89. On March 21, 2018 due to a washout a cable was exposed along Highway 92 at Rock Creek in Keokuk County. Request is to cover repair costs.

  1. Iowa Communications Network is requesting an emergency allocation in the amount of $22,131.10. On March 6, 2018 a cable was damaged due to rodent chews along 450th Street in Worth County. Request is to cover repair costs.

 

The State Auditor’s Office has reviewed this request and recommends allocation, subject to audit of actual invoices and supporting documentation and demonstration that no costs covered by the maintenance contract have been included.





 

  1. Iowa Communications Network is requesting an emergency allocation in the amount of $13,593.83. On February 12, 2018 a cable was damaged due to rodent chews along Caves Road in Jackson County. Request is to cover repair costs.

 

The State Auditor’s Office has reviewed this request and recommends allocation, subject to audit of actual invoices and supporting documentation and demonstration that no costs covered by the maintenance contract have been included.

 

  1. Department of Natural Resources is requesting an emergency allocation in the amount of $3,449.38. On July 27, 2017 there was a flood at Grannis Creek Wildlife Management Area in Fayette County. Request is to cover repair costs not covered by FEMA.

 

The State Auditor’s Office has reviewed this request and recommends allocation, subject to audit of actual invoices.

 

  1. Department of Natural Resources is requesting a supplemental emergency allocation in the amount of $1,407.31; this will bring the total allocation to $24,907.31. On July 24, 2017 a theft occurred at Lacy Keosauqua State Park which involved a Civilian Conservation Corps Statue. Request is to cover repair costs.

 

The State Auditor’s Office has reviewed this request and recommends allocation subject to audit of actual invoices.

 

  1. Department of Natural Resources is requesting an emergency allocation in the amount of $12,850.00. On September 29, 2016 flooding caused damage to Rice Lake Wildlife Management Area. Request is to cover repair costs.

 

The State Auditor’s Office has reviewed this request and recommends allocation subject to audit of actual invoices.

 

  1. Iowa Law Enforcement Academy is requesting reimbursement in the amount of $6,713 and payment to vendors in the amount of $22,500.00; the total allocation and payment is $29,213.00. On February 3, 2018 the extreme cold temperatures damaged air handling units. Request is to cover repair costs.

 

The State Auditor’s Office has reviewed this request and recommends allocation and payment. This represents full and final payment and this allocation will be closed.  


 

  1. Iowa Law Enforcement Academy is requesting reimbursement in the amount of $4,248.85 and payment to vendors in the amount of $60,005.47; the total allocation and payment is $64,254.32. On February 3, 2018 the extreme cold temperatures caused the air handling unit to fail and causing water damage to dorm rooms. Request is to cover repair costs.

 

The State Auditor’s Office has reviewed this request and recommends allocation and payment. This represents full and final payment and this allocation will be closed.  

 

  1. Department of Administrative Services is requesting allocation and reimbursement in the amount of $5,118.03. On December 6, 2017 the Hoover Building had a water main break. Request is to cover repair costs.

 

The State Auditor’s Office has reviewed this request and recommends allocation and payment. This represents full and final payment and this allocation will be closed.

The Executive Council met in regular session at 10:08 a.m. in Room G09 of the Capitol Building with Governor Kim Reynolds presiding. Secretary of State Paul Pate, Auditor of State Mary Mosiman (via telephone), Treasurer of State Michael Fitzgerald and Secretary of Agriculture Michael Naig (via telephone) were present.

Regular Session May 29, 2018

   

Moved by Secretary Pate and seconded by Treasurer Fitzgerald that the Council approve the minutes of the Executive Council meeting held May 21, 2018.
