  1. Attorney General’s office request Payment for Expenses under Iowa Code §7D.10 in the amount of $10,684.01.

  1. Litigation Expense Fund
  1. Request from the Attorney General’s office on behalf of the Department of Revenue to expend $40,000.00 from the Litigation Expense Fund during the third quarter of the 2019 fiscal year.

  1. Emergency Allocations
  1. Department of Public Safety is requesting a supplemental emergency allocation in the amount $20.23.  This increases the total allocation to $3,547.86. On August 24, 2018 State Patrol Vehicles #381 and #180 was damaged by hail in Cerro Gordo County. Request is to cover repair costs.

 

The State Auditor’s Office has reviewed this request and recommends allocation and payment. This represents full and final payment and this allocation will be closed. 

 

  1. Department of Public Safety is requesting a supplemental emergency allocation in the amount $118.54.  This increases the total allocation to $4,399.95. On September 23, 2018 State Patrol Vehicle #387 was damaged by a deer on 520th Avenue in Monroe County. Request is to cover repair costs.

 

The State Auditor’s Office has reviewed this request and recommends allocation and payment. This represents full and final payment and this allocation will be closed. 

  1. Department of Natural Resources is requesting an emergency allocation in the amount of $11,584.07.  On May 27, 2018 severe storms caused damage at Clear Lake and McIntosh Woods State Parks in Cerro Gordo County. Request is to cover repair costs.

 

The State Auditor’s Office has reviewed request and recommends allocation, subject to audit of actual invoices.

  1. On December 3, 2018 the Executive Council approved the Board of Regents – University of Iowa request for an emergency allocation and reimbursement in the amount of $77,035.31 for the event at the Iowa Advanced Technology Lab on January 9, 2016. The University of Iowa later discovered that a receipt was included on this request that shouldn’t have been. A check for $51.21 is being sent back to the Executive Council.

EXECUTIVE COUNCIL OF IOWA MEETING MINUTES

State Capitol - Robert D. Ray Conference Room (G09) 10:00 a.m.        

February 11, 2019

 

The Executive Council met in regular session at 10:01 a.m. in Room G09 of the Capitol Building with Governor Kim Reynolds presiding. Secretary Paul Pate, Auditor of State Rob Sand and Secretary of Agriculture Michael Naig were present. Treasurer of State Michael Fitzgerald was absent.

Regular Session February 11, 2019

 

 

Moved by Secretary Pate and seconded by Auditor Sand that the Council approve the minutes of the Executive Council meeting held January 22, 2019.

 

The vote:        
Ayes:  Governor Reynolds, Secretary Pate, Auditor Sand, Secretary Naig

Moved by Secretary Naig and seconded by Secretary Pate that the Council approve the request from the Attorney General’s Office for payment of Expenses Under Iowa Code §7D.10 in the amount of $10,684.01 for prosecuting cases under Iowa Code chapter 229A.
