Today, Gov. Kim Reynolds signed SF 2411, a bill which creates the Workforce Opportunity Fund, defines work-based learning, and reforms student teaching requirements, and HF 2465, a bill allowing high school students to gain science credit for agriculture related courses, into law.
βIowa is a national leader in work-based learning opportunities, connecting young Iowans to over 150 employer partners and good paying jobs post-training. These experiences introduce students to the possibilities that await them in Iowaβs dynamic economy and the various paths they can take to get there,β said Gov. Kim Reynolds.
