Governor Kim Reynolds announced today that America’s Harvest Festival—Iowa’s admission-free celebration of America’s 250th anniversary—will include a free country music concert, special opening ceremonies, family-friendly experiences, interactive exhibits and more. The event will highlight Iowa’s agricultural heritage and honor the people, traditions and industries that helped shape our state and the nation.
The free concert will be headlined by award-winning group The Band Perry, known for hits including “If I Die Young” and “Better Dig Two.” Award-winning country band LANCO, known for its chart-topper “Greatest Love Story,” will also take the stage along with two Iowa-based country music acts.
"As the yearlong celebration of America’s 250th anniversary continues, Iowa is proud to celebrate its unique role in American history as a leader in agricultural innovation—and there’s no better time to do that than harvest time,” said Governor Reynolds. “America’s Harvest Festival is a day dedicated to celebrating our state’s proud heritage, and I encourage Iowans across the state to join us at the Iowa State Capitol for this special, admission-free event.”
America’s Harvest Festival will be held on the Iowa State Capitol grounds on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 1 p.m. to dusk. Opening ceremonies will begin at 2 p.m.
Beyond the main stage, America's Harvest Festival will transform the Iowa State Capitol grounds into a destination filled with experiences celebrating agriculture, American history and Iowa's communities. More than 70 exhibitors, businesses and organizations are expected to participate, offering interactive agricultural displays, historical experiences, a fall-inspired marketplace, food, family activities and opportunities to connect with the people and industries that help make Iowa thrive.
America's Harvest Festival is made possible through the generous support of businesses and organizations committed to bringing this statewide celebration to life. Leading sponsors include presenting sponsor Hy-Vee, along with Iowa Farm Bureau Federation, Fareway and the Iowa State Fair. Their support, together with contributions from numerous additional sponsors and partners, is helping make this free celebration accessible to Iowans of all ages.
