Gov. Kim Reynolds today announced her appointment of Katie Ranes as a district associate probate judge in Judicial Election District 5C.
Ranes, of Waukee, Iowa, currently serves as a magistrate in Judicial Election District 5C. She received her undergraduate degree from Roanoke College in Virginia and her law degree from the Drake University Law School.
Ranes fills a vacancy created by the retirement of District Associate Probate Judge Craig Block. Judicial Election District 5C includes Polk County.
